Linen dresses » Natural look
Cooling kaftan dresses, colourful tunics or classic shirt dresses - linen is far more versatile than its reputation. Especially in summer, linen dresses made from flax fibres are a textile all-rounder: their fine texture makes them extremely light, they are anti-static and do not stick to the body and, thanks to their natural properties, you hardly sweat in linen dresses. Linen - Sustainable & Versatile
For centuries, flax was the most important fibre for textile production. It was not until the 19th century that linen was replaced by cotton, which was somewhat easier to grow, and later by synthetic fibres. This natural material has many positive properties: clothes made from linen are particularly breathable, cooling, tear-resistant and durable. They also fulfil the growing trend towards sustainability in fashion. Comparatively little water is needed to produce linen and no or only very small amounts of pesticides are used in its cultivation. In addition, flax is biodegradable and does not pollute the environment. So it's no wonder that linen fashion has become increasingly popular in high fashion in recent years. The trend is clearly moving away from the traditional linen blouse towards great cuts and bright colours. Linen has secured its place in the fashion world.
