In the beginning of the last century it was absolutely unthinkable to wear black dresses
for reasons of fashion, as it was the colour for maids and mourning people. If you had enough money, you would have a tailor make colourful dresses for you – but in black? – Never! But tastes change and in the middle of the 1920’s, a certain designer entered the world of fashion; she revolutionised the interiors of women’s wardrobes forever: Coco Chanel. Her little black dress was suddenly all the rage because it was comfortable, had hardly any creases and it was – and still is – very elegant.
The perfect dress for the new, emancipated woman of the 20’s. A woman, who takes her life in her own hands. A woman, who dares to live free from the constricting corsages. 100 years later, little black dresses have found their place in the world of fashion. Almost every women’s fashion designer has at least one black piece in his latest collection. The same applies to Ana Alcazar.
